YST Music Workshop:

“Creating Expressions Through Music”

Students from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YST) Leading and Guiding Programmel presented a fun-filled workshop entitled 'Creating Expression through Music' for the junior string orchestra at Forte Musicademy on 1 April, 6:00-7.30pm. Through Dalcroze-inspired activities, interactive musical games and interdisciplinary associations, this workshop aims to tap on and encourage creative imagination, in order to nurture spontaneous and confident musical expression in young musicians.

The Leading and Guiding programme is a compulsory module for second year YST students. In this programme, opportunities are created for students to find meaningful connections between their music studies and the society around them through music leadership, project design and management, and community engagement.
