Leadership in Collaborative Ensemble Performance

Students get a glimpse of how leadership qualities can be cultivated during the process of collaborative music-making. With an emphasis on organisational, social, communicative and creative skills, these young musicians were tasked with the challenges of solving unprecedented problems. As a result, they learn to improve on their music as a chamber group with minimal guidance from their teachers. These skills are not only relevant to music, but also in other aspects of our lives; a valuable lesson that we hope these students will continue to apply wherever their futures lead them to.
