Jocelyn Ng

Jocelyn Ng started learning piano at the age of four. During her early learning stage, she performed in concerts and participated in competitions. Her passion in music brings her to pursue further studies, whereby in 2016 she graduated with the Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts – Royal College of Music (London) under the tutelage of Lena Ching and Kathron Sturrock, and in 2021 she graduated with the Master of Music in Performance from Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Bingbing Li.

During her studies, Jocelyn has performed as a soloist and a collaborative pianist. She mostly played with vocalists, violinists, cellists and flautists. With her fellow musician friends whom she met during her studies in the UK, they formed a piano trio. As a collaborative pianist, she has received coaching from Julius Drake, Laura Jellicoe, SallyAnn Macleod, Petr Prause, and Paloma Kouider. As a soloist, she has received masterclasses and coaching from renowned pianists such as Dennis Lee, Gordon Fergus-Thompson, Vanessa Latarche, Dina Parakhina, Boris Kraljevic, Aaron Shorr, and Paul Janes.

Jocelyn has been teaching since 2012. She has taught students from beginner to diploma levels. She hopes to share her knowledge to the students and inspire them to love music. To her, it is important that the students grow to love music first, and then, combining it with hard work, it will make the learning process more enjoyable.
